The Bible does talk about hell, specifically God being the one who can rescue us from it. But God is not the creator of hell. Man makes a real hell for himself through his evil thoughts, words, and actions.

Jesus went to hell after the Jews and Romans executed him and preached to the souls there also. He alone has the power to save us from hell. He is the Lord of heaven and earth, but not the Lord of hell. He bought us from the lord of that kingdom with his own blood, so we can be redeemed from this fallen world and the even worse hell beneath.

"For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell." Psalms 86:13 KJV

Where Jesus went to save souls:

"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Matthew 12:40 KJV
