For parents of Black teens and young drivers of color, there is the added fear of a child being pulled over by police.
Why does the
Washington Post give the word "black" a capital letter?
The other day I saw a teenage girl pulled over by police near the school in my local area (Hot Springs, Arkansas). She was white.
I have had two speeding tickets in my life. One of those tickets was when I was driving through Memphis, Tennessee to see my mother in Arkansas for a holiday. The police officer that pulled me over and gave me the ticket was a black woman. I am a white man. I do not see that white people have any preferential treatment.
There is a clear push by the for-profit media to divide people by any means possible. Unfortunately, there will be a race war, but I for one will not attack someone simply because they are black or white, or any other race.
