Marc is glad he didn't retire in Asheville, NC
A retired man making a call on amateur radio said he almost moved to Asheville, NC but is now glad he didn't. Marc Chicoine describes the destruction and the challenges that area faces after hurricane Helene.

Recorded on 7,165 kHz from a receiver in Georgia that heard a call between West Virginia and Florida. My location is Arkansas, but I was able to connect to the radio in Georgia through the internet. This radio call was also shared at saidit.net.
The Asheville Fire Department made some calls over radio as the storm was hitting on Sep-27-2024....
