These jumbo-sized peppers came out of the garden today. I'm surprised to be harvesting peppers in December.



We have had multiple nights of freezing temperatures here in Arkansas, but I covered the plants that survived. The pepper plants that were not covered died. Covering the plants makes all the difference between life and death.



This reminds me that we can be spiritually covered by our Lord when we stay in his truth.

Psalms 91:4

“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

Being covered by the Lord can keep us alive, while those who are not covered perish. Spending time in God's Word daily protects us and gives us strength so our hearts do not grow cold.
