Isn't it strange that chocolate is not considered healthy or safe for any animal? But humans can safely eat it?

A friend told me his wife will have nightmares if she eats chocolate in the afternoon. That made me wonder about chocolate, which I have enjoyed eating many times. But is it healthy?
