A few days ago something new happened on my cell phone: It was flooded by phone calls and text messages from an unknown source. In one day:

44 phone calls
23 text messages



It appeared to be automated, could have been assisted by AI, and used multiple phone numbers.

If this happens to you, one suggestion I have: Block unknown callers, at least temporarily. Also, do not respond. Responding would be like adding fuel to a fire.
