I downloaded a movie to my Android cell phone, which used no hotspot data.
Application used:
LibreTorrent (a small program weighing only 24 MB)

I downloaded
LibreTorrent from F-Droid. This powerful file-sharing application was
blocked on Google Play, but appears to be reinstated there, but with some handicap for Android 12+.
Note for Android 12+: Google Play version doesn't have permission to access all files, use another version (F-Droid or direct APK).
But for sure, it's available at F-Droid with a few taps on the screen.
Here's a movie I downloaded from a torrent:

Day the Earth Stood Still 1951 colorized (Michael Rennie)

I just learned the movie was remade in 2008, so the mind control propaganda (in the form of "entertainment") continues.
Edit: I watched the movie and gave a review.
