Gall and Vinegar Prophecy in Psalms

The Jews have the book of Psalms, as we Christians also have. In it are prophecies about Jesus. Here’s one indicating how Jesus would be treated by his tormentors....

Psalms 69:21 KJV
They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

When Jesus was dying on the cross at Jerusalem, he said he was thirsty. The Roman soldiers offered him gall and vinegar to drink.

Matthew 27:34 KJV
They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

There are so many prophecies in the Old Testament that point to Jesus being the promised Messiah, whom the people of Jerusalem hung on a cross. The Lord, unlike them, is merciful.... and will forgive all who repent and turn to him for salvation.
