Why Roman Catholicism is not called "Christian"

Jesus Christ was the founder of Christianity and was never in Rome. Neither was Peter, whom the Catholic church claims founded a bishop's seat in Rome.

Search the scriptures and you will not see either Jesus or Peter in Rome, and Peter was not a bishop there. Their whole church is founded on a lie.

Evidence

The Bible does not say Peter was ever in Rome. Check for yourself and do not rely on traditions of men which could deceive you.

The book of Acts tells Peter's location: Jerusalem. He was imprisoned there, making it impossible for him to also be sitting on a throne in Rome. In the year 44 AD, king Herod killed James, and then imprisoned Peter.... in Jerusalem.

Herod Agrippa I was king of Judea (not of Rome) with Jerusalem being the capital of his kingdom. He reigned from AD 41 ~ 44. In the year 44, he had James killed. After that, he imprisoned Peter. See Acts 12:1-4 (KJV).

Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

The Catholic church claims Peter was in Rome for 25 consecutive uninterrupted years, from 42 to 67 AD. But the Bible shows Peter was in a Jerusalem prison no earlier than 44 AD. The Roman Catholic church is not sticking to the biblical history.

Paul also met with Peter in Jerusalem. (Galatians 1:18) It was the year 51, again at the time the Roman Catholic church claims Peter was in Rome.

Peter wrote the book of 1 Peter from Babylon, not Rome. He was ministering to nations of Asia, not to Italy or from Italy. As he signed his letter, he sent greetings from the church of Babylon, where he actually was residing.

The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son. 1 Peter 5:13 KJV

How it looks today....

For the Roman Catholic church to lay claim to Peter being in Rome, they came up with a story. They claim Peter was not being honest about his location, but said Babylon but a code word for another place. They claim that Peter in his letter, out of fear of persecution, sent a greeting from the church at "Babylon" to throw people off to his location in Rome. However, this does not match how an apostle of Jesus should behave. They should always tell the truth and not fear anyone.

Lies Exposed

Peter was in Jerusalem while the Roman Catholic church says he was in Rome.

Peter was imprisoned in Jerusalem.

Peter received a visit from Paul in Jerusalem, unannounced and not summoned from Rome, since he did not reside there. Paul visited him where Peter actually was residing: in Jerusalem.

Peter ministered to the people of Asia, not Italy. He wrote the book of 1 Peter from Babylon, which is today called Baghdad, and where he was actually killed.

Peter was not continuously in Rome from 42 to 67 AD.

Peter never was the bishop of Rome.

Peter was never in Rome.

And now you can get a hint as to why the Roman Catholic church tried to prevent us from having the New Testament translated into a language we could actually understand and search ourselves.
