World rulers don't want you to have meat, eggs, or dairy....

but they say nothing against carbonated beverages.

How the estimate was calculated

PepsiCo produces up to 15 billion liters of carbonated beverages each year.

About 6 kilograms of CO2 are added to 1,000 liters of soda.

Based on these assumptions PepsiCo adds approximately 90 million kilograms of CO2 to the food supply through their carbonated beverages each year.

During the carbonation process, manufacturers might expect to lose anywhere from 5% to 20% of the CO2 added.

This means for every 100 grams of CO2 added, anywhere from 5 to 20 grams might be released on-site and not enter the final product.

If we assume a 10% loss rate, approximately 9 million kg of CO2 could potentially be released to the air during the manufacturing process for the 15 billion liters of carbonated beverages produced by PepsiCo at their manufacturing sites.

90 million kilograms CO2 in their beverages, released by customers annually. 9 million kilograms CO2 lost during the carbonation process at PepsiCo manufacturing facilities annually.

This is a total of 99 million kilograms CO2 released into atmosphere each year from PepsiCo, either directly or indirectly.

This does not include any of their use of fuel to transport their products around the world, the fuel their employees use to travel back and forth to work, or the fuel they use to bring supplies to their manufacturing facilities, or the fuel used in building and maintaining their facilities. Nor does this figure include any of the other corporations that add CO2 to their drinks.
